tmlforsyth@gmail.com BioI was a soldier stationed in Ft Hood, TX. I belong to the Army Finance Corps and will be deploying in a few months. I am also converting to Judaism, which is unique and a very interesting journey, especially since I started out as a Catholic from New Orleans.
I am also a right-leaning Libertarian and a Goldwater conservative, with more liberal views on gay rights and other social issues like abortion, but still maintain a sense of inclusive traditionalism (I support gay marriage, but I also have a very negative view of divorce, but not as much as when I was Catholic). I am not registered with either major party, but I will probably go Republican to vote for Rudy in '08, though if Hillary is marginal, I may join the Democrats to vote AGAINST her :) I am also grateful for Libertarian candidates in case we wind up with bozos on both tickets.
I decided to register as a Republican and vote for Rudy, but he dropped out. Now, I am undecided as McCain isn't who he used to be and Obama is too progressive economically for my comfort, plus Bob Barr is a hypocrite and a fraud, and well Ralph Nader is a senile washed up relic form the 60s who need to hop in a time machine and go back there. Now that I live in Queens, I am a registered Democrat for practical reasons, though I am undoubtedly very conservative for my county.
Beyond religion and politics, I like to talk about history and about some tv shows, but I rarely watch much television. I also enjoy the internet and the blogosphere.
I was also in Iraq, but I return stateside in 2009. I am fortunate that nothing of interest occurred. Now I have moved to NYC and am currently unemployed, but let's hope the future is brighter for me soon.
